Application to Polytechnics

Why Polytechnics?

Suitability and fit

You may find, after spending two years in a Junior College, that you:

  1. Now have a better idea of where your passion and career interests lie

  2. Are more suitable for a hands-on education (as compared to the A-Level examinations)

Thus, switching pathways may give you another route to your dream career or university course.

Ability to complete Diploma in 2-2.5 years (for selected courses only)

Do also note that, depending on the course you are applying for and your A Level results, you may get exemptions for some courses! This means that you may end up spending only 2-2.5 years for your Diploma as a A Level graduate.

For instance, some options include:

3 year programme (Apr intake - to apply using O-Level results ); or

2 year programme (with advanced standing) (Apr intake); or

2.5 year (Oct intake, Y1 Sem 2); or

2 years (with advanced standing) (Oct intake, Y2)
