The Engineering Academy has several student-operated clubs meant to enhance the high school experience and build upon concepts learned in class.
"We are a club with the goal of teaching students engineering fundamentals and teamwork skills through an annual competition hosted at Caltrans. Every year, with a different bridge design, students get to design, build, and test their own bridge. At the competition, teams will compete head-to-head against other teams from schools across Southern California. Teams will present their process in front of professional engineers, where they will receive feedback and advice. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to develop critical thinking, speaking, and writing skills through hands-on design."

"T-Bird Tech is a robotics club at Yucaipa High School that strives to overcome challenges and grow as a community. Each year, we compete through the FIRST Tech organization and create robots capable of completing specified tasks during randomized team matches. Throughout our season, we enhance our robot and its abilities as well as refine personal skills. T-Bird Tech is more than just a robotics club, it is a learning environment for students to practice engineering fundamentals as well as have a good time."
"Battle Bots is a club where students turn their ideas to life! We design and print robots to battle each other as well as robots from other schools, with the primary constraint of needing robots to weigh one pound or less. So, our team is constantly exploring new concepts and possibilities to improve their designs and produce the best Battle Bot. This club provides a safe learning environment for anyone who wants to build skills to: 3D model, build, solder and much more."

The Solar Boat team is . Throughout the year, the team works to create a boat completely powered by the sun to compete and race against other schools. In the club, students learn construction, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. The team is currently on a winning streak, taking home two back-to-back first place victories.
