IEP Development

Development of the IEP:

  • Collaborate in the IEP process
  • Provide diagnostic assessments, as appropriate, to determine student strengths and needs, if required
  • Generate ideas and suggestions for program modification or accommodation
  • Provide advice about materials and resources
  • Provide supports to the student’s classroom/subject teacher(s) as appropriate
  • Plan and carry out instructional programs for the student
  • In collaboration with the classroom/subject teacher(s), develop strategies for assessing and communicating the student’s progress and
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the students parents and other teachers
