The Wellness Wheel illustrates the integration of the 6 important dimensions of wellness: emotional, environmental, mental, , physical, social and spiritual.

It’s important to understand YOUR wellness wheel because if it isn’t balanced, you will have difficulty handling everyday stress. Having an unbalanced wheel is like having a flat tire. It makes it hard to steer straight and in the direction you want to go. Your life becomes bumpy and shaky and makes it difficult to reach your destination (goals).

Being aware of these factors that influence wellness can help you to make positive choices that contribute to having a well-rounded and fulfilling life. These positive choices include not stressing over the things that are out of your control and focusing on what you can control: your thoughts, emotions and actions.
