RELIGIOUS EDUCATION POLICY DOCUMENT - 2016

In 2016,  the Assembly of Catholic Bishops of Ontario released a new curriculum policy document for use in Ontario's Catholic schools. The existing textbook series which may be still present in some of our schools, should be evaluated in light of this new curriculum. Only sections of these textbooks that address the new expectations should remain in use.  Other subject areas face similar concerns as textbook series are often designed to meet curricular expectations from several jurisdictions.

These were created by writing teams sponsored by the Institute for Catholic Education (ICE) and the Catholic Curriculum Corporations and have been vetted by the Bishops, who retain the right to approve all materials designed for use in our Catholic Religious Education Classrooms.  These resources are also available on the ICE website (iceont.ca)
