Our Faith Day for the upcoming will explore the theme Catholic Education: We Are Called to Love. This theme is aligned with the Catholic Education Week 2024 Theme set out by the Ontario Catholic Schools Trustee Association. At YCDSB, our exploration of Faith Day will focus on this theme as a celebration of Catholic Education and the joyous reminder of our Christian call to love.

In the words of Pope Francis:

“Love, then, is more than just a series of benevolent actions…Our love for others, for who they are, moves us to seek the best for their lives. Only by cultivating this way of relating to one another will we make possible a social friendship that excludes no one and a fraternity that is open to all.” (Pope Francis, Encyclical Letter, Fratelli Tutti, On Fraternity and Social Friendship, 2020)
