To introduce students to mindfulness principles and their application in photography;
To develop students’ observational skills, creativity, and appreciation for the present moment through photography.
Practicing mindfulness helps me with photography because it helps me focus on details and more creative perspectives. I noticed many little things that I probably wouldn't have noticed. For example, acorns at the bottom of the tree, and the light on the little leaf. My photos represent mindfulness by showing attention to detail. In each picture there are very small details that the average pedestrian would not notice. They all give off a small bird like perspective and make the photos have a quiet feeling.
