"Flowers n' Ferns" (5/28)
I learned many things while creating this cyanotype. One being about positive and negative space. Positive and negative space is defined by the edge between the two. For example, on the edge of the fern and the blue back round. I also learned how to be patient and also how to keep my eyes peeled. To make this image, the class and I had to scavenge outside for leaves, flowers, and other flora. We did this so we could put the plants on light sensitive paper, and put them in the sun. The result was what is above. Additionally, I learned that I had to wet the paper after the sensitizing was done. I noticed that the wetting of the paper made the colors pop out more. Overall, it was a very fun project to do and I had much fun.
