I think that I partly achieved my goals. I got a B instead of an A, but I definitely got better at photography and learned a lot more about angles, lighting, editing, and how to use a DSLR camera. I think that I got better at editing phots and especially got better at finding the right angle and knowing how much exposure to use for how much natural light there is. Some of the assignments I had missed a couple days so I was forced to cram the pictures in and didn't get to do my best work due to time restraints but overall, I think that moving forward I have plenty of skills to create some really cool photos.
Looking forward, I am definitely hoping to keep getting better and understand more about photography, specifically manual settings on DSLRs and how to make those look as crispy and clean as possible. I am going to get a DSLR and different lenses and such so that I can practice and get some really cool photographs with higher quality than just my iPhone. I am taking a road trip out west through a bunch of National Parks for a couple of months this summer/fall so I am hoping to get some really cool pictures when I am out there, and using skills that I have learned from this class and online to elevate the quality of them. Some goals of mine are similar to what they were before taking this class which is just to continue to get better at photography and keep creating really cool images to capture all of the cool places I plan on visiting. I think that photography is a really good way to express yourself and I am looking forward to continue doing that throughout my life.
My goals for the semester are to get an A in the class, and to get better at photography. One of the main things that inspires me to take photos is to capture memories that I can look back on in the future when either I can't remember as good, or just to look back and reflect on good times. In this class I hope to learn more about how to edit photos to make them look as good as possible and how to get/know how to get the best angles that will make the picture look good. I am looking forward to this semester and learning as much as possible in this class.
