Purpose
To demonstrate understanding of accurate perspective of cylinders and cubes;
To use a variety of mark-making strategies to practice and demonstrate the value changes on forms, helping them appear 3D
To practice using a variety of media to draw a still life
Two things that are working well for me are shading with value, making the shadow and the object have different values so the object stands out. Another thing that is working well for me is shadows and making the objects stand out. I know these are working well for me because my drawing are looking more realistic and are popping when I do these elements correctly. I have learned so much this year about drawing and now I can use it to make my art so realistic.
One thing that I have a tough time with is making angles look realistic and making them look like its not coming off the page. They also look nothing like what im trying to draw at times. When I draw angles they are most of the time super unproportional to the other parts of the object. The pencil trick helps alot of the time to make them seem realistic.
