Tony Demin
Tony Demin is a current photographer who studied photography at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara. After college, he moved to Colorado to take photos of adventurous sports. From there he moved to Montana, then to Michigan. Finally, he moved again to Montana where he currently is. He has focused on shooting “active living” and beautiful mountainscapes and bodies of water during his adventures. But he has also traveled to Vietnam, Nicaragua, and Cape Horn to take photos and experience the world. The things that have most inspired him to become a photographer are his travels and the people around him.
Demin’s work is influenced by his travels and the life around him. He loves to travel with his wife and dog. His work often includes water and his family. He loves to photograph the bright colors he sees in his travels. He also is inspired by the lighting in the early morning and in the evening. Using his passions and daily activities to inspire him he takes many breathtaking photographs.
I chose this photographer because his photography looked really vibrant and interesting to me. I will use lots of color and lighting techniques in my photos to emulate his work. I will try to make the subjects have these bright colors be the main focus and against maybe a plain background. I hope to get some photos of the water and impressive landscapes. I also notice that he takes a lot of photos of life around him like animals and people, this is also something I will try to emulate. He often uses techniques like perspective and framing a lot.
