Two of the most important concepts I learned this semester are values and color contrast. We learned values when we were doing the final still life. The values that you made would help make your drawing look 3 dimensional and differentiate the objects. This helps make your drawing look more realistic as the shapes don’t all have the same value in real life. When doing the controlled doodle we learned how to contrast colors to make things stand out. This was also a lot of fun. Experimenting with colors to see what they would look like side by side was tons of fun. When doing this we made more important shapes and figures stand out to the audience.
The assignment that I’m most proud of is my controlled doodled. I really loved coloring and thought that this was some of my best artwork. I really enjoyed doing this drawing and thought it was a lot of fun. When I finished I really liked the final product. I loved using contrasting colors to make things stand out. When learning about this I really enjoyed playing with colors to see what they would look like side by side. This was fun and using those experiments to make my drawing look better just made my final product look even better. I think this is the best art I did all semester.
