One of my main goals for this semester was to leave this class knowing more than I did going into it. In the beginning with bi-weekly assignments, I was only seeing the singular element we were supposed to photograph. Towards the end with my reflections, one of my photos, 'All Signs Point To' has reflections, framing, leading lines, and a mostly neutral color pallet. This also ties into my other goal of learning to use framing, lighting, and perspectives to make my photos more interesting. Throughout this semester I learned how to use light and shadows to my advantage to create emotion. I also learned how to coordinate colors to make my photos more cohesive. I really liked a photo I took in Bar Harbor at Jordan pond where you have the dark green shaded leaves with the streak of yellow leaves peeking through the gaps. My goals now are to keep photographing as I go through my day-to-day life, and find the beauty all around. I can wholeheartedly say I completed my goal to leave this semester knowing more about photography than I did at the start.
My goals for this semester are to learn how to make a fascinating photo using all the techniques we're learning about. I want to learn how to use lighting, framing, and perspective to make my photos enticing to the eye. My goals for this class are to take photos that capture natural beauty and freeze it in time. I want to be able to take photos that make me happy when I see them. My goals for this class are to leave this semester knowing more than I had when I started this semester.
