To photograph in the style of Walter Wick, inspired by his work in the “I Spy” children’s book series.
To photograph an arrangement of objects that express a similar theme.
To arrange objects into a complex composition that leads the eye and demonstrates an understanding of balance, lighting, and color.
To create a rhyme that connects to the hidden objects.
I spy with my little eye,
Where seagulls soar across the sky,
Among the scattered shells and sand,
Some treasures waiting to be found!
A purple crayon lies in wait,
Near where the waves and shoreline meet.
Six pieces of driftwood, smooth and worn,
By tides that come both night and morn.
Look closely at the sandy scene,
Where one small shell with stripes is seen,
Its pattern dancing in the light,
Among the others, what a sight!
And there among the beach grass green,
A tiny white flower can be seen,
Its petals dancing in the breeze,
Near picnic blankets spread with ease.
Out here in the dusty Wild West land,
Where cowboys roam across the sand,
Hidden treasures wait to be found,
Look carefully all around!
A white rope coiled with special care,
For catching cattle, it waits right there.
One silver bullet, shiny and bright,
Catches the glow of the campfire light.
For tonight's hearty cowboy stew,
Five fresh ingredients give us a clue:
A carrot, potato, and tomato too,
Plus cucumber and asparagus - all waiting for you!
Behind the cactus, spooky and bland,
Lies a lonely old skeleton hand.
Search the scene with eagle eyes,
These western treasures make quite a prize!
