Responding to my goals-
Throughout this semester I met all my goals. We started the year focusing on how to frame subjects and experimenting with different ways of photographing people through our biweekly assignments and photo walks. I really liked the leading lines and framing assignment, because I learned a ton about how it impacts the subject and background. Throughout our photo walks, I learned how to take pictures properly, but I can definitely still improve. Lastly, I learned how to to edit pictures toward the end of the semester, with our use of Photoshop. I also learned how to edit photos on the Photos app, but that was more just minor corrections with brightness. The Photoshop practice was really cool, but also frustrating because of all the little things we could mess up.
I am excited to use the skills and knowledge I have learned on trips and outings with friends. I also think I will consider taking higher-level photography classes in the future.
A couple of new goals that I have are to use Photoshop even further, and also to take a lot more pictures in general. I’ve learned the more pictures you take, the better, and in the past, I usually didn’t even think about taking pictures when I saw something cool.
Photography 2 and 3 could definitely help me reach those goals. Outside of school, I can practice a lot and even do other courses to further my knowledge and expertise. I can also talk to family members and friends who know a lot about photography to help me learn more.
