Purpose:
To look closely at half of a portrait and complete the portrait by drawing similar features; To practice drawing facial features: eyes, nose, and mouth
Steps:
Choose one of the half portraits and glue onto a page in your sketchbook.
Using graphite/pencil, complete the portrait.
Use techniques that you learned; hatching, cross-hatching, lines, etc.Â
Pay close attention to detail and lighting. Your half of the drawing should look three-dimensional.
Reflection: I really enjoyed this project and I found it not to challenging but at the same time I definetly struggled in some places; such as the teeth and wrinkles and also the hair. It was a little weird to only draw half of a face and it made it a little harder for me to proportionate the facial features, but overall I like my final product.
