Reflecting on this class, the artwork that I am most proud of is the work that best reflected who I was as an artist and a thinker. My still-life drawing, although simple and not as meaningful as others, took thoughtful time to create and was a challenge for me. I had never drawn a still life before. However, I feel that I connected with this drawing. I learned a lot from this piece and the techniques that went into it. The Unsung Hero project is another favorite. This work turned out just as I had imagined, if not better, which was very rewarding. I also recognized that acrylic is a medium I have at my house and work with often. This made it a much more comfortable painting experience. In addition, this project was at the end of the semester and I had learned so many skills and ideas throughout this course, that it made this project go smoothly.
