Final Thoughts for the Semester

During my time in this class, I learned so much about drawing and painting. I found it very therapeutic to come to class every day and be creative with art. I learned different painting techniques like making washes with watercolor paints and layering with acrylic paint. I learned how to blend with a cloth when drawing with charcoal, and how to shade so it looks like there are shadows. I reached my goal of learning how to draw realistically, because of my realistic self-portrait.  I learned how to crosshatch at the beginning of the semester when we were making our perspective drawings. Overall, this was a successful semester.
