Reflection -
I realized that you had to go slow at first with the clay or the clay would crack. Also, to keep it all the same width, or else the clay would be unbalanced and fall apart. My first piece actually did fall apart. I didn’t know how to go about it. So I started pulling things too quickly and it would cause cracks. What I think is interesting about my piece is if it’s laying down on a certain side, you can’t tell there is anything under. Once you flip it over, though, you see that there is actually a whole new look to it. I also like how from every angle it looks different but similar. I feel like Henry Moore’s work fits my work the best. My sculpture resembles many of his is the same smooths arches. I feel with his work and a little if mine that is you look too quickly it doesn’t look like anything. Once you take your time and look different things start popping out.
