Purpose:
To think about and understand your personal identity better.
To communicate your identity to others using objects.
To create a well-balanced composition, keep lighting, staging, and balance in mind.
My objects represent my personal identity because they are all things that are very important in my life. The sweater is significant because it is in my favorite color, pink. The hat is from a country concert I went to this summer. The concert itself is important, but country music as a whole is. My whole life I grew up around country music, so I would say it is a big part of me. The next object is a book called The Four Agreements, the book focuses on self growth and freedom. One of my favorite topics to learn about is Taoism. And that book aligns a lot with the practices of Taoism and the way of living life. The bunny in the image is my childhood stuffed animal, Bun Bun. Bun Bun is really important to me because I grew up with it and its been with me since the beginning. The knee pads represent my love for volleyball. I've played volleyball for fours years, so it is a pretty big part of me. And I have dedicated 10 months out of every year for it. The last object are my shoes. The shoes are important to my identity because I wear them every day. They don't hold much meaning other than that they've experienced almost everything I've experienced. All of these objects make up who I am.
