In my sculpture there is one part of what I would call bottom that is a piece of reed looping around and through two other pieces of reed. Not only does this add to the structural integrity of the sculpture but it also draws your attention over to it giving you a clear point of emphasis.
I didn't know that every sculpture had a point of emphasis even when it's an abstract thing that doesn't resemble and particular person place or thing.

To understand how a line can be used to create a three-dimensional form
To create a sculpture that considers balance and repetition, variety and emphasis
To consider where artists find their inspiration
