Year 4 the SELOC-E project (2024-25) will focus on reaching our goal of testing the SELOC-E in up to 300 classrooms around the U.S. and collecting evidence of reliability and validity. This process involves classroom data collection and other data collection.
Classroom Data Collection: Over the fall of 2024, SLs will visit each classroom at two points in time (about 4 weeks apart). During each visit, the SL will record normal classroom instruction (including some SEL-related instruction) for 40 minutes and complete the SELOC-E twice. All observations must be complete by the end of December 2024. For detailed information, visit the Classroom Data Collection page.
Other Data Collection: During the 2024-25 school year, we also will be working together to collect SL, school, teacher, and student data that will help us examine the validity of the SELOC-E. For detailed information, visit the Other Data Collection page.
Please email yaleseloc@yale.edu with any data collection questions or concerns.
