Hello 5th grade parents/guardians,

The 5th grade students are going to be learning how to play the recorder this year. This will be fun and challenging and will also help them become more literate at reading musical notes. They will be receiving instruction in music class. The students may purchase a recorder from me for $8.00 (this is optional) or use one they already have if one is available from a relative or friend. I have recorders provided by the school that will be available for students who cannot purchase one. The student will be assigned a recorder that can be used during class but it will not be allowed to go home. If you wish to purchase a recorder, money will be accepted until October 8th. 

Once recorders are ordered I cannot accept any more money and it will be up to each individual student if they wish to purchase their own. Only recorders that have been paid for will be purchased. I will order recorders the day after money is due.
