Purchasing Instruments

If you are wanting to buy a recorder, make sure you look for a baroque soprano recorder. Those are the ones that we will use in class. Please do not buy a recorder from dollar tree or dollar general. Those recorders typically do not play the correct notes.  Yamaha Recorder

If you are wanting to buy a ukulele, look for the soprano ukuleles. Here is one I recommend but there are many great options. Mahalo

Music Lessons and Activities for your Student

As you may already know the Yadkin Arts Council is one of our biggest music and art resources here in Yadkin County. If your child is interested in musical plays, instruments, or singing this is a great place to look for activities and classes. Over the summer the Arts Council will often offer a music camp. There are also other places that offer lessons.
