Program Practice Songs are Posted. (Last Update December 18th, 2025)
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the Yadkin County Elementary All-County Chorus! This opportunity is for 4th and 5th grade students only and is designed to help students grow as musicians, meet peers from other schools, and perform in a countywide concert. No prior experience is required.
Note: Only 5 students will be selected based on audition results. NO FORM = NO AUDITION.
All students will receive a letter with their results.

🎤 Important Information
Auditions will take place during the school day with Mrs. Collins.
BES Auditions: January 12th-16th
JES Auditions: January 6th-9th
Students will sing 2 short songs and complete a simple music-reading exercise (used as a tie-breaker).
Audition materials will be provided in music class and online.
✅ If Selected…
Selected students must:
Attend after-school rehearsals (2:30–3:30 PM) and have transportation home.
Attend a full-day rehearsal on the day of the concert.
Perform in the evening concert at Willingham Theater at 6:30 PM
Concert Date: Thursday, April 30th 2026
Wear concert attire (white top, black bottoms, black shoes)
Stay in contact and let Mrs. Collins know if they must miss a rehearsal
Demonstrate consistent responsibility, good behavior, and a positive attitude during all rehearsals and performances.

Notes: Please sing loudly and clearly. Be confident and relaxed. Be sure you know what song you want to sing and all audition material. Look over the rubric to know what I am looking for. Do your best!!
Remember: This audition is not to tell you that you are a good/bad singer. This is just the most fair way for me to choose 5 students. Always continue to sing if you are chosen or not.
