Middle School Band Information below!
All-County Chorus - All 8 elementary schools choose 5 students to represent their school at the All-County Chorus Concert. That means that I will hold auditions for the Boonville and Jonesville students in order to choose my 5 for each school. For a student to audition they must have parent approval and be willing to commit to after school practices and the performance. Take a look at the All-County Chorus Tab if you are interested.
Middle School Band Information:
If you would like to be in the band program, you must start in your 6th grade year.
We have a limited supply of school-owned instruments available on request for students at no cost. Don’t let finances prevent you from joining the band!
Middle school band only requires an after-school commitment of 2-3 evenings a year. Students in the SMS Band often participate in multiple athletic and extracurricular activities.
You may choose flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, or trombone.
Important Dates
Tuesday, April 28th - Registration Form due to 5th grade teachers
Tuesday, May 12 - Parent Night for band - Drop-in at the SMS cafeteria between 4:30-6pm

If you are wanting to buy a recorder, make sure you look for a baroque soprano recorder. Those are the ones that we will use in class. Here are two great recorders to choose from.
