Ya-Kitty Chat · Last updated: October 8, 2026
Ya-Kitty Chat (the “app”) is published by GAMZ Holdings LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who else receives it, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: admin@ya-kittychat.com.
1. Who the app is for
Ya-Kitty Chat is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow or collect information from anyone under 18. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and, on Android, may use an age signal that Google Play provides. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we close it and remove the profile. To confirm that you are an adult we may also ask you for a live selfie and a government photo ID (see section 2).
2. Information we collect
Account: Your email address and a password (managed by our authentication provider). Used to create and secure your account and to send sign-in messages.
Profile: Display name, date of birth (kept private; other members see only your age), country, state or region, city, languages, interests, what you are looking for, a short bio, and up to five profile photos. Your city and state are filled in from the postal code you enter. Used to run your profile and to show it to other members.
Messages: What you post in public rooms, in private messages and in private groups, including pictures you send. Messages are stored on our servers (they are not end-to-end encrypted) so they can be delivered, shown to the people you wrote to, and reviewed for safety. We mask phone numbers, email addresses and similar contact details in chat, and we keep the unmasked original for safety review.
Photos: Profile photos are scanned automatically for nudity and other unsafe content before they appear, and may be reviewed by us. We also make a blurred copy of each approved profile photo (a heavily reduced version in which a face can no longer be made out). Members who have not verified that they are adults see only the blurred copy; members who have verified see the photo clearly, through short-lived links that we issue only after checking the member's status, and we limit how many profile photos one member can open in a day to make copying harder. You must be verified to add a profile photo. On Android we block screenshots and screen recording while a photo is open full-screen. Blurred copies are deleted within minutes when you remove or replace a photo or delete your account. Photos reported as involving minors or sexual content are locked, preserved as evidence and may be reported to the authorities.
Pictures in chat: Verified adults can send pictures and memes in private groups and in private messages (not in public rooms). Before a picture leaves your phone, our app removes the location and camera details stored inside it. The picture is then held privately and checked automatically, using Google Cloud Vision, before anyone else can see it. It must not contain nudity, sexual content or graphic violence, and it must not contain phone numbers, email addresses, websites, other apps, advertising or QR codes, including words written inside the picture: we read the text in a picture and apply the same contact-detail and advertising checks that we apply to typed messages. A picture that fails the check is not delivered and is deleted at once; we do not keep it, but we keep a record that it was blocked (who sent it, where, and why), with any text read from it, so that our staff can see what was attempted. If the check cannot run, the picture is not sent. A picture that passes is stored on our servers (it is not end-to-end encrypted) and can be seen by the people in that group or conversation. Authorised staff can see delivered pictures when they review or watch a group, and each review is recorded as described under Groups. When a private group closes, every picture in it is deleted within minutes and the message then reads "[picture removed]" (the text of the conversation is kept for safety review as described under Groups). Pictures in private messages are deleted when that conversation or your account is deleted. Exceptions: if a member reports a picture, we keep it so that our staff can review it, and if our staff believe a picture shows illegal content, we keep it as evidence and may report it to the authorities; a kept picture is deleted when it is no longer needed for the review or the report. We do not sell pictures or use them for advertising.
If a picture of you that is intimate or sexual was shared on Ya-Kitty Chat without your consent, you can ask us to remove it, and you do not need an account. See our page "Requests to remove a picture": https://sites.google.com/ya-kittychat.com/ya-kitty-chat/take-down-request
Identity and age verification: To confirm you are an adult, we ask you to agree to a check before you start. You then take a live selfie and photograph a government photo ID. The check is run by our verification partner, Didit, on our behalf. Didit reads your ID, checks that it looks genuine and compares your selfie with the photo on it; this uses a scan of your face, which is biometric data. We keep only the result (pass or fail), an age range, a reference number and a one-way code made from your ID number, so that one ID cannot be used for several accounts; the code is deleted if you delete your account. We do not keep your selfie, your ID image, your ID number itself or your face scan, and we do not store the other details Didit reads from your ID. Didit stores your selfie, ID image and face data for up to 1 month and then deletes them automatically. We do not sell this data and do not use it for advertising. Verification is optional, but you need it to post and message.
Safety records: Reports you make or that are made about you, blocks, warnings and strikes, and a log of when our filters block or mask a message or picture (for what is kept about blocked threats and blocked pictures, see Groups and Pictures in chat). Used to keep members safe and enforce our Terms.
Purchases: If you buy coins or Plus through Google Play, Google handles your payment details. We receive the product, order identifier and purchase token needed to confirm the purchase and credit your account. We do not receive your card number.
Usage: Counts needed to apply limits (for example daily message and translation counts), the time you were last active, and basic technical logs on our servers.
Notifications: If you allow notifications, we store a token that identifies your phone so we can tell you when you receive a private message, a friend request, a group invitation or a new group message, when someone accepts your friend request, or when a group you are in is ready. A notification contains only fixed words (for example "You have a new message" or "You have a new group message"); a notification also carries a random identifier that lets the app open the right conversation or group. No notification contains the text of a message, a group's name or anyone's name. To avoid buzzing you over and over, a busy group tells you at most once every couple of minutes, and you can mute any group from its page. The token is delivered through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service, so Google receives the token and that notification. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings. Signing out (when your phone is online) or deleting your account removes your phone's token from our servers.
Friends: If you add friends, we store who asked whom and who accepted, so that each person's friends list works. Friendship needs both people to agree, and both must be verified adults. Your friends list is visible only to you; other members are not shown who your friends are. If you decline a request, the person who sent it is not told that you declined. Removing a friend does not send them a notification. Blocking someone ends any friendship with them and cancels any pending request between you. Deleting your account deletes your friend connections and requests.
Groups: You can make or join private groups with your friends. We store a group's name, who made it, who is in it, and invitations (who invited whom, and whether the invitation was accepted or declined). Only members can see a group, and only the person who made a group can invite people, and only from their own friends. A group needs three people to start, and it closes if the person who made it leaves, if fewer than three people remain, or if a third person does not join in time. We may review groups, their members and the messages in them for safety, and group messages are stored on our servers like other messages (they are not end-to-end encrypted). We keep the text records of a closed group for safety review; pictures in a closed group are deleted (see Pictures in chat). Only a small number of authorised Ya-Kitty staff can review groups, and each review, with the reviewer's name and the reason, is written to a record that cannot be edited or deleted. In public rooms and in groups our systems automatically flag messages that contain contact details (a phone number, an email, a link or another app) or that look like advertising, and alert our staff, who can read the message as it was typed before anything was hidden. Staff can also watch a public room or a group as it happens; they are not members and are not shown to other members, and each time they start and stop watching is recorded in the same record. If a message is blocked (for example because it contains a threat) it is not delivered to anyone, but we keep the blocked text so that staff can see what was attempted. Group messages can be text or pictures (see Pictures in chat). If a member reports a message, we keep that message and the messages around it, with their original text, so that we can review it even though the group is private. If you delete your account you are removed from your groups, and a group you made closes.
We do not show ads, we do not sell your personal information, and the app does not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
3. Translation
When you choose to translate a message, the text of that message (and, if you use live translation in a room, the text you write) is sent to our AI translation provider, Anthropic, to produce the translation. Translations are stored so the same message is not translated twice.
4. Who else receives information
• Supabase – hosts our database, file storage and sign-in service on our behalf.
• Google – Google Play (purchases and, on Android, an age signal), Google Cloud Vision (automatic safety scan of profile photos and of pictures sent in chat, which also reads any text in a picture), and Firebase Cloud Messaging (delivers notifications to your phone if you allow them).
• Anthropic – translation of message text you ask to translate.
• Didit – runs the selfie and photo-ID check that confirms you are an adult, on our behalf, and handles your selfie, ID image and face data as described in section 2. Your information may be processed in other countries than yours.
• zippopotam.us – when you enter a postal code, the code and country are sent to this free lookup service to fill in your city and state.
• Other members – see the next section.
• Authorities and others where required – we may disclose information to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, report suspected child exploitation, or protect people from harm.
5. What other members can see
Your display name, age, country, region and city, languages, interests, bio and approved photos are visible to other members. A photo is shown blurred to a member who has not verified that they are an adult, and clearly to a member who has. Your email address and exact date of birth are not. Anything you write in a public room can be read by everyone in that room. Please do not share contact details, financial information or anything else you want to keep private.
6. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account in the app (Me → Delete account). Deleting removes your profile, photos (and their blurred copies), pictures and messages from your account. We may keep limited records where needed for safety and legal reasons, such as reports, safety evidence, and purchase records. Verification results (pass or fail, an age range and a reference number) are kept while your account is open and in our safety and legal records. Didit deletes your selfie, ID image and face data after up to 1 month.
7. Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile and photos in the app, block and report members, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to or limit certain uses. To make a request, email admin@ya-kittychat.com from the address on your account. We may ask you to confirm it is you. You can choose not to verify, but you will not be able to post or message. You can ask about your verification data by emailing us at the address below.
8. Security
Information moves between the app and our servers over encrypted connections, and access to our systems is restricted. No service can promise perfect security, so please choose a strong, unique password.
9. International use
The app is offered only in the countries we have opened. Your information is processed on servers that may be in other countries than yours. By using the app you understand this.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where required, tell you in the app.
