Last Wednesday, January 24, 6th grade students who are working to solve the challenge posed in the STEM learning scenario received a visit from an expert worker from Repsol located at the petrochemical complex in the area. Mr. Queipo explained how plastic production works and answered the students' questions. The talk is part of the Erasmus+ project and the students' objective is to contribute to the achievement of SDGs 7 and 13 by improving a petrochemical company to make it more sustainable
The robotics material arrives at the school.

Ventura Gassol School receives the robotics material. In this way, the school invests in technological resources and materials to promote integrated work in the science areas through STEM methodology. The center is undergoing a process of change to facilitate students with useful learning for their future. Ventura Gassol School receives two volumes of the Encyclopedia of STEAM Women to encourage girls pursue the science path. The center's new focus on integrated science education is also aimed at empowering girls in this field and breaking the gender gap

After receiving the robotics material, the teachers at the school are doing robotics training to make the most of the new STEM resources. Talk about the materials used in pen manufacturing by materials resistance expert from URV engineer Jaume Saltó

Last Wednesday, February 28, 6th-grade students attended a talk given by aeronautical engineer Jaume Saltó about the materials used in pen manufacturing and their characteristics. Mr. Saltó explained the materials used in pen manufacturing and their characteristics, addressing questions and doubts from students that had arisen during the learning scenario sessions. The talk is part of the Erasmus+ project, and the students' objective is to contribute to the achievement of the SDG 11 by making it less polluting. After analyzing the systematic collection of spent pen waste for recycling carried out by the school, students immersed in this project have decided to design an eco-friendly pen.
Visit to the Mobile World Congress where there is a specific section for education and STEM

This year, Ventura Gassol School has been invited to attend the Mobile World Congress to participate in the conferenc MSCHOOLS Changing education together where topics such as how technology and globalization are transforming society and work are addressed, and educational systems must stay connected to the real demands of a rapidly changing world. In this way, the school looks towards the future by integrating new technologies into education and educating students so they can make good use of them and be critical thinkers.
