Personally, the term translanguaging is new to me, I know that I sometimes put code-switching into practice by not knowing how to say a word or phrase, although is not considered the same.
On the other hand, I consider it relevant to give the importance it deserves to intercultural competence. In Catalonia, the multilingual and intercultural dimension appears on stage and I use examples from texts in different languages and from real contexts so that the students find similarities.
From my point of view, the objective of translanguaging has to focus on activating the mechanisms that relates different languages in a holistic way. For this, there are multiple options either by emphasizing communication and not so much in language, activities where acceptance of disparate opinions is revealed.
Therefore, I cannot say that I have a lot of experience but I consider it necessary to be present on a day-to-day basis.
