Professional info

I'm a senior teacher of English at the secondary school Joan Oró and a lecturer at the Dept. of English and Linguistics of the Universitat de Lleida. I teach courses on applied linguistics, academic English and EFL learning methodology. As I have a long experience teaching English from different perspectives, I am a teacher trainer for the Education Department of the Catalan Government on three main topics: Project based learning, Evaluation, and Content and Language Integrated Learning.

I have written a book on CLIL and I have also co-authored two books in Spanish: La conciencia lingüística en la enseñanza de lenguas (2007) on the promotion of language awareness in language education; and Plurilingüismo e interculturalidad en la escuela: Reflexiones y propuestas didácticas (2010) on the development of multilingual and intercultural competence in secondary education. I have also written several books to teach English as a Foreign Language to Catalan students and have also published several articles in edited volumes and specialised journals. I have also been a teacher trainer of English as a foreign language and regularly speak at English language teaching conferences around the country. I have also been in charge of the “sots coordinació” of the University Entrance Exam for the University of Lleida since 1999.

​I'm a member of The Cercle de Lingüística Aplicada (CLA) at the Universitat de Lleida, which is an established research group recognized by Generalitat de Catalunya as a consolidated group. As part of that group I have participated in a number of research projects granted by the Ministry of Education.
