DAY 5

Today we have a very special and emotional day ahead of us.

We start by joining in the 10 year old classroom. They take advantage of the fact that they are reviewing the Roman numbers to teach them the numbers in Catalan and Spanish. We have a look at the similarities that exist between those languages and Italian. We also review them in English. We show them where we live, our culture and our school.

Now it is time to go with the 10 year olds to the elementary school library where there is a small stage. There the students read texts written by Gianni Rodari and Paolo, a musician and teacher at the school, offers us a repertoire of songs that he has adapted from texts by Gianni Rodari. The students are very motivated and participative at all times. We finish with a very emotional farewell, they give us a small gift.

Before leaving, they show us the classrooms where they sew and create artistic materials now that they are full. Many of the objects created by the students are sold at the market.
