Friday was the last day of Job Shadowing.
We started the day relating English to Portuguese through a work of factual phrases. Starting with a card game, the 6th grade students had to match the English phrases on the cards with their corresponding Portuguese translation.
Before going with another group we had some time to go to the libraries website where there are a lot of resources.
We went to the auditorium with the 5th grade group to work on the book “No one passes from here”. In pairs they looked at the book, Ana Paula explained it while they were talking about the topic and highlighted words like: hero, authority, freedom... She suggested dramatizing the story and in a moment they were all motivated, organized and with props distributed, ready to represent it. It was noticeable that they were used to this kind of activity. It was a very interesting activity.
Later we were talking with Ana Paula about the whole week and we were accompanied by the management team who gave us a little gift.
In the afternoon, Ana Paula accompanied us to a spectacular LIJ bookstore, it looked like something out of a fairy tale. This bookstore is called O Bichinho do Conto in Casais Brancos.
We finished our stay with a walk through the village of Óbidos. A beautiful walled village.
It is time to leave but we take with us a lot of enriching experiences and endearing moments!
It was a very enriching experience!
