A short description of our school:

Institut Illa de Rodes is a secondary and vocational public school located in the village of Roses (Girona), a bay with 3,000 years of history. Roses is a town with Mediterranean essence and a strong tourist and marine tradition. It is located in a unique natural environment: at the north of the Costa Brava, in the Cap de Creus Natural Park, at less than 30 km from the French border, at 65 km from Girona city and 160 km from Barcelona.

Our school hosts the studies of ESO (12-16 years old), Bachillerato in the modalities of Sciences and technology, and Humanities and Social Sciences (16-18 years old), Batxibac (in French language) and Medium and Higher Grade Formative Cycles of physical and sports activities: GUIAM and TSEAS. It also houses the special regime sports teachings (EERE) of Rescue and First Aid (initial and final cycles), and the Initial Cycles of Sailing with fixed apparatus, and Calm Water Canoeing. It is also the center of reference and regional support for distance studies of the Institut Obert de Catalunya (IOC).

This academic year 2022-2023, we hold an approximate number of 700 students, apart from the students of the different EERE. We work with 16 ESO groups, 4 BAT groups which also includes Batxibac, 4 CFGM groups (two from 1st year and two from 2nd year), 2 CFGS groups (1st and 2nd year) and 4 Sports Education groups.
