A Country House is a kind of rural construction. There are also rooms for farm animals like cows, horses, ducks, etc… Country houses are located mainly in Catalonia. It’s an isolated house and the “mas” is the house, the lands and the woods. Nowadays the country houses have become into restaurants, residential villas, etc.
Can Pi de la Serra Country House is a very old country house and it has been rebuilt many times.

When you go to Can Pi De La Serra country house the first thing you see is that it is surrounded by trees and forest. It's a huge white house with some big windows and stairs in front of the main entrance. Some of the rooms for the animals are attached to the main house, and you can see the hens walking around, time ago there were more animals living in these stables: donkeys, gooses, turkeys...

Currently the Country House is divided in a restaurant that is in the 1st floor and the owners´ personal house in the second and third floor.

There are also some rooms in the first floor where you can see old items and devices used time ago when animals and agriculture were the main business of the property , and it results very interesting to know the uses and evolution of these items during different periods.

There is also a big chimney that was used time ago when the use of electricity was not possible. The main activities in the house after a hard day working took place near it.

Nowadays the three biggest rooms are used as dining rooms where customers can have the meals that are prepared at the moment: grilled meat, toasts with cold meat, baked potatoes etc.

There are a lot of long tables with chairs around and some shelves, some of the old country house items are hanged on the walls, things like canes, pots , bottles or tools. There is also a toilet with big mirrors and windows.

Outside there are some more tables and chairs that can be used by the customers when the weather is nice . At the back of the house there are more rooms that are used as warehouse for farm vehicles and other tools.
