We were completely amazed by the level of English of both the pupils and the teachers. We wanted to know what strategies they use to teach English. The language coordinator told us about the methodology they use to teach foreign languages, both German and English.
The school uses new technologies on a daily basis. Teachers use a platform called Meebook. This tool allows them to communicate with each other and with the pupils. Almost all the applications they use are from Microsoft. We noticed that kids are very autonomous and that they learn by working in groups and using laptops.
Paula and I gave a short presentation about our school in 5th and 8th grade. The pupils were very interested to know more about us and our school.
The coordinators of the Dybbøl-Skolen library showed us their new library.
A completely refurnished library. They told us that every year they receive a generous grant to keep the library up to date.
The library is organised in different spaces, such as a reading area and a space for teamwork. There are small rooms with a tiered-seating area and projectors.
