💪💪💪These are today's challenges. We are sure you will find them a piece of cake!!! 💕
A place can be considered as “symbolic” whenever it means something to a group of individuals, in such a way that it contributes to giving an identity to the group. Today we are going to work on that.
To better understand how a place can contain personal meaning to their people, ask the Catalan students to explain the symbols in this video to you.
WEBQUEST
The final goal of this activity is to answer this question:
WHY IS THIS AN EMBLEMATIC PLACE OF BARCELONA?
You will be given the name of a place in Barcelona.
Search on the internet 2 reasons why this place is emblematic.
Write down the answer in three lines for each on a card and keep it safe in your schoolbag.
Choose 2 spokepersons in your group. Tomorrow in Barcelona they will read your answers to the rest of the Erasmus mates when we stop at that place during our tour in the old city.
The final goal of this activity is to answer this question:
WHAT OTHER THINGS CAN FOOD FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY CAN COMMUNICATE?

EVENING IN IGUALADA
In Igualada we will have some time to walk around and at 7.30 pm we will attend to a training session of "els Castells", one of the most important CULTURAL SYMBOLS of our culture.
Els Castells, the human towers, represent solidarity and team spirit among Catalan people. On these depend the success of the tower and even the life of the aixecadors, the young children that climb up to airy heights of more than eight meters to complete the tower.
