To celebrate the International Day for Europe Day, it has been planned a flashmob in which all our students would dance together to celebrate our unity. Since schools were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemia, students learnt the dance steps at home, made a video of themselves dancing with their mobile phone and sent it to their teacher, via WhatsApp or mail. Teachers sent all the videos to Lithuanian teachers who edited a single video of all French, Italian, Spanish and Lithuanian kids dancing. Some teachers have joined students in this performance.
The song chosen is ON FIRE by THE ROOP. This song was chosen because it was selected for Eurovision 2020. Due to the COVID, this festival was not celebrated.
The text is about a person who is striving to change his approach to things, to put more energy into his activities than when he was younger. With this song he wishes to convey listeners confidence and good vibes, because, as he says "We are all able to be who we want, when we want, and age is not important".
On 9th May, to celebrate Europe Day, it has been organized an online dancing. The Erasmus team (teachers and students) met on Zoom and danced: THE ROOP "ON FIRE" alltogether.
It has been an excellent performance. We enjoyed it very much.
Thanks to the Lithuanian teachers for planning and directing that on Zoom!
