B.A. in Psychology (3 papers- Part Majors) with Sociology/Anthropology/Economics/English (3 papers)

The B.A. course (full/part majors) is a 3 year, credit based course. Full majors has 30 seats at the TYBA level. The part major seats vary as per the subject combinations. 

The facilities provided include a well equipped and designed Psychology Lab to conduct experiments at the TYBA level. 

M.A. in Life Span Counselling

In India, the dearth of mental health professionals is a known concern that ironically goes hand-in-hand with the increasing number of citizens with mental health issues. One factor that contributes to this state of affairs is the lack of opportunities to gain a high quality education in the field of mental health. To contribute to bridging this gap, the Department of Psychology, St. Xavier’s College started a Master’s degree course - M.A. Psychology: Lifespan Counselling in June 2019.  This course has been designed with the primary objective of creating competent mental health practitioners. 

Diploma in Expressive Arts Therapy

Post Graduate Diploma in Expressive Arts Therapy offers training in the therapeutic use of Art, Drama, Music and Dance Movement as modalities for practitioners to help diverse groups of people. This course has been designed by specialists in each of the expressive arts modalities. It is a one year Diploma that offers 48 credits. Internationally certified faculty from across the country have been invited to teach on this course to give participants a solid theoretical foundation and hands on skills to be applied in socially challenging environments within educational and developmental settings.
