A TMEA organized event where 6th graders from across Region 6 have the opportunity to partake in a master clinic and concert. Students are given 4 pieces of music to learn for their audition process. Students are given a month and a half to prepare for their audition with their choir directors. If they qualify, students will attend a full day clinic with a master choral director to help sharpen their craft. Students will also be involved in a concert at the end of the event showcasing all they have learned. This is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded students from different cities, study under real professionals and be a part of a higher level of music performance! Students are awarded a patch for their letterman jackets as well as school-wide recognition!

This is a mix-voiced show-choir group. Very similar to a musical but more music centered! This ensemble is open to 7th and 8th graders only. Meetings will vary and will be decided based on the availability of its members. The group will be an advanced ensemble of singers that will sing Jazz, Pop, Show Tunes, Broadway and more! If you enjoy singing multiple styles, challenging yourself and performing, this is the group for you as we will be performing all around Abilene! Meetings are once a week after school.
This is only available for 7th-8th graders participating in theatre/choir. If you've ever wondered what it may be like to be an actor or professional singer, look no further. Most of the Superstars you've heard on the radio or seen on screen, started out in musicals! As of 2021, Ms. Reed has allowed 7th-8th grade students enrolled in choir to audition for the EJH musical. Being a part in this production can be used as an extra credit ticket for students in choir. These participating students are champions of vocal and choral ensemble leadership during rehearsals. This is a great opportunity to try your hand at new things, get out of your comfort zone, and truly embrace a wide and diverse range of musical stories and character developments.
