Julia spent more than 25 years serving with Wycliffe as a high school teacher at Rain Forest International School in Cameroon. She enjoys ministering to and praying for post-high school MKs as they transition back to the US for college and careers.
Julia is excited to come alongside young adult MKs, offering the gift of time, a listening ear, and an attentive heart – to help them process their experiences, so that they will grow in resilience, the ability to engage with and grow through life's challenges and adversities in health-sustaining ways.
Lori joins our team part time from her home in Lynchburg, Virginia. She and her family joined Wycliffe in 2011. They served in Cameroon until June of 2023. Lori worked as a teacher for many years. She was a librarian at Rainforest International school the last several years and loves helping students. Lori has three young adult children of her own. Her husband Chris is a musician. His job with SIL is in EthnoArts.
Lori is thrilled to be a part of the MK care team. “I love caring for, praying with, and feeding students! I hope to walk alongside many students and encourage them as they adjust to being adults in America. I think of the support my own kids need and am so glad to be able to do that for other MKs.”
Mary joins our team part time from her home in St. Paul, Minnesota. She spent many years teaching children and adults with special needs, and she also trained teachers on three different continents. Mary and her family served for over 10 years in a sensitive country in Asia, and she has a strong desire to encourage, support, and pray for college-age MKs. She is blessed to be the wife of Steve, mother to two young adult sons, and grandmother to one delightful grandson. She enjoys traveling, making and sending cards, scrapbooking, and pickleball.
Mary is excited to get to know you and to be a resource for you as a prayer warrior and encourager as you navigate the many challenges, joys, decisions, and difficulties of young adulthood.
