Beverly grew up in a small Indian village in Mexico where she saw the need for Scripture translation in the language of the people. As the child of Wycliffe translators, she was granted a scholarship that helped her attend a Christian university and it was her desire that other MKs have the same opportunity.
After her death from cancer in 2004, her family and friends established this scholarship in her honor.
Lucia and Ernest Moore joined Wycliffe Fellowship in Denver, Colorado about 1958. This small organization was active until Wycliffe Associates was formed several years later. The local Denver organization lasted over 50 years and the Moores were a part of it all the way. Many Wycliffe members visited the informal Wycliffe meetings and stayed in the Moore home where Lucia and Ernest personally learned of the needs of the translators and their children.
This relationship has led to the formation of the Lucia and Ernest J. Moore Scholarship Fund.
