Reflect on the User interface (Ui)
The first thing i noticed when going on the Doulingo app is the green owl on the top of the logo. This logo gave me a sense of child-like learning. I found it interesting that you could learn up to 50 languages and when you get a response correct their is encouraging sounds and graphics.
I believe the designers goal was to make the app easy and simple for anyone to follow.
Reflect on the User Experience (UX)
The UI makes me want to use the app and it makes me want to be productive with learning more languages. I found that for this app i had a long attention span and i spent over a hour learning new words in Spanish. One thing i learned about myself is that when i get a new app thats interactive i will use it a lot in the upcoming weeks to get used to it.
Reflect on How this Resource Might Impact or Support Digital Wellness
I feel that the Duolingo app benefits me because it gives me the opportunity to learn new languages and connect with non-english speakers. I also belive that apps like instagram and tiktok benifit me because they have become a source of news that informes me about whats going on in my community as well as around the world.
To model digital wellness to my students i can pose the question of what is beneficial about the apps their using as well as what is being learned from those apps.
Reflect on the Accessibility of the Application or Tool You Chose
The doulingo app is accessible and free on the app store. Since its a language learning app it caters to many different speakers like russian, hungarian, spanish, arabic and czech speakers. It also works on any device and for both appl and android users.
