SDG's, otherwise known as The Sustainable Development Goals, aim to change our world for the better, making sure that no one is left behind. We have been learning about the SDG's since freshmen year. Each year we either focus on different SDG's or different ways to interpret them. These aren't only viewed in our AGS classes either; they are also taught in our main core classes to help us expand our understanding of the world around us.
SDG number 3, for example, talks about Good Health and Well-Being. Its goal is to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages. It's important to care about health care because it is what keeps us all healthy and alive. You see this one nearly every day in our community when go to the hospital or pick up a prescription.
Another SDG we have talked about is number 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. This focuses on ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. It's important to have energy to run things day to day and basically run the whole world. We see this in our community with every building we go into, even in our very own house.
One of the other SDG's we focused on was number 4: Quality Education. It ensures inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. This is important because having quality education and the access to it can lead to success in your life and even your community. Making sure there is quality education in your community makes it a better one for all and for everyone in the world.
