Being our chosen SDG for our global & local issue, as zero hunger can be found to be one if not one of the most important global issues.
Since funding might not be possible, we’ll focus on utilizing available resources and involving the school community. We can ask for donations of materials from local businesses or families, such as soil, seeds, pots, or gardening tools. We can also look into upcycling materials to create plant towers, using items like plastic bottles, old containers, or crates to build the towers. This approach will reduce the costs while still allowing the project to move forward.
The project will provide fresh produce to the school’s nutrition program, contribute to the school’s sustainability efforts, and help raise awareness about the importance of growing our own food. It will also engage students in hands-on learning and foster a sense of community and responsibility.
