Team & Entry Rules
Teams may have 1–5 participants.
Each student may submit one entry per design brief (you can enter both challenges, but only once per challenge).
Each team must choose a team name.
Teams must register by the deadline to participate.
Design & Materials Rules
Materials used (virtual or physical) must be recyclable, free, or extremely low-cost.
No “already made” kits or pre-built products. All designs must start from scratch.
No dangerous, toxic, or unsafe materials (e.g., glass, chemicals, sharp tools).
Work & Originality Rules
All work and ideas must come from the group members only. No outside assistance (AI, teachers, parents, guardians, other students, etc.).
Entries must be original designs created specifically for this competition (not recycled from old school projects).
Teams must follow the engineering design process (explore → imagine → create → share).
Presentation Rules
Each team must prepare:
A prototype or model of their design
A poster/display explaining their process and solution
A 2–3 minute presentation for judges and visitors
Teams must be present at the event to explain their design and answer questions.
All information presented must stay focused on the design challenge and task at hand.
All participants must show respectful behavior toward judges, peers, and visitors.
Judging & Awards Rules
Designs will be judged using a rubric that values creativity, functionality, feasibility, and communication.
Awards will be given in multiple categories
Judges’ decisions are final.
Additional Rules
Safety Clause: Any unsafe or harmful designs may be disqualified.
Timeline Clause: Late entries or missing presentations may not be eligible for awards.
Good Sportsmanship Clause: Teams are expected to demonstrate fairness, encouragement, and positive attitudes throughout the event. Negative comments, poor conduct, or disrespect toward others may result in disqualification.
