Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) is a forum for parents to provide input to the district on issues concerning students with disabilities. We welcome the participation of all parents. In addition, a presentation is offered at each meeting as a resource to assist parents in becoming more informed of their child’s educational process as well as to help parents more effectively advocate for their child.
We strive to ensure that all stakeholders understand, respect, and support all children with special needs in our community. To that end, SEPAG promotes a network of parents of children with special needs in our district and provides a forum to share information. Informational meetings are held on topics of interest for families of students who receive special education and/or educational support services. We promote and support students with special needs to have access to educational opportunities and a school environment where all children are encouraged to reach their full potential.

Special Education Parent Advisory Group Meetings
2025-2026 School Year
WWRSD Special Education Parents Advisory Group (SEPAG) is hosting their next meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 6:30 P.M. in Room 110 at the High School. Dr. Patrick McQueeney will be presenting to the group. Please see below for the presentation overview.
Presentation Title: Our Path Forward: Understanding the Special Ed Audit and Growing Together
Great schools never stop asking how they can do better, which is why we took a deep look at our Special Services department through a recent independent audit. This presentation is our way of opening the doors and sharing what we’ve learned. We’ll walk through the results together—highlighting the things we’re doing right and, more importantly, being honest about the areas where we have room to grow.
The audit gave us the data, but our families and staff provide the heartbeat of this district. We aren't looking to make changes in a vacuum; we want to use these findings as a jumping-off point to work more closely with our SEPAG, our teachers, and our administrative teams. This session is about turning those audit "opportunities" into a shared mission. By listening to your experiences and combining them with these professional insights, we can ensure every student in Westwood Regional has the support they need to truly thrive.
The Special Education Parent Advisory Group will meet on the following dates for the 2025-2026 school year. Please click on the link below to access meeting agendas and resources.
