Please PURCHASE

• Sketchbook  (8" X 10" or larger)  - Spiral or hardcover (NO SKETCH PADS).  Mixed-media or drawing paper recommended.  Paper weight should be 70 lb - 100 lb.  Partially used sketchbooks from previous classes are fine!  If you are in Drawing and Painting, please purchase 1 mixed-media sketchbook.  

• 3 different BLACK Micron pens - Microns are permanent and come in various thicknesses and colors.  If you have a heavy hand and press hard, stick to 03-08.  If you like a very fine line, get 005-02.  The BR is a brush tip and works like a paint brush.    

PROVIDED

• You will receive a set of 24 prismacolor pencils, drawing pencils, a pencil sharpener, and erasers to borrow for the year.  

Please PURCHASE

• A sketchbook/s of your choice!  You will be using it extensively.  By now, you should know what you like, if you plan to paint in your sketchbook, be sure to purchase a mixed-media book with thicker paper.  Size of the book and the type of paper is completely up to you.  Often, AP/Honors students work in 2 different sketchbooks.  They tend to have a small, portable on and a larger one.   

Provided 

In this class, you will be able to select the mediums you work with.  A variety of materials are available for students to borrow.  You will need to sign out various supplies and sign them back in when you return them.   Available supplies:  Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils, Micron pens, drawing pencils, oil paints, acrylics, watercolors, acrylic inks, paint pens, paint brushes...
