Hi! My name is Mr. Cancro and I just began my journey in public school education!
I grew up in Closter and graduated from Northern Valley Demarest High School. I attended Pennsylvania State University and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in 2016 and Master’s in 2017, both in Accounting.
I spent the first 6 years of my professional career as an accountant at Ernst & Young. I left the industry after I decided I no longer wanted to pursue this type of career. While picking up some temporary work at a summer camp as a parkour coach, I realized how much I enjoy working with children. The aspect I enjoyed the most was teaching them life skills that go beyond the sport. This is when I began pursuing careers in both teaching and coaching.
In that time since, I began teaching college level accounting courses at Berkeley College in Woodland Park, NJ, as well as coaching Ninja Warrior at Empire Ninja. I also worked as a teacher’s aide in the Northern Valley District. I spend the end of last school year here at Berkeley Elementary with the 5th grade and absolutely loved it!
When I’m not at school you can find me in the gym! I’m a bit of a fitness enthusiast. I love training and competing in Ninja Warrior as well as lifting weights.
I look forward to the journey we will face this school year, guiding your children through challenges and growth, while also experiencing some laughs and fun!
