I am so excited to welcome you to fifth grade and to have you in my class this year!
I grew up in Old Tappan and graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School. From there, I attended the University of Rhode Island, where I majored in Human Development and Family Services as well as Early and Elementary Childhood Education. I later earned master’s degrees in Reading and Literacy and in Educational Leadership from St. Thomas Aquinas College, and I completed my Master’s +30 in May 2023.
This will be my 18th year teaching, and my 14th year in the Westwood School District! I began my Westwood career teaching fourth grade at George School, then spent many years as a fifth-grade teacher at Washington School. After several years teaching fourth grade at Berkeley, I returned to fifth grade—and I absolutely love it!
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our six children. My two youngest, Baylen and Hunter, are proud members of the Berkeley community as well! Our family also has a playful Goldendoodle named Shadow. Outside of family time, I love training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, walking, running, lifting weights, cooking, hiking, and traveling with family and friends.
Fifth grade is a year full of exciting challenges, growth, and memorable learning experiences. I’m confident we will have a fantastic year together, filled with laughter and success. I look forward to getting to know each of you and your families.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always here to help!
