Miss Murray grew up in this area, attending school in Belleville until she was in 9th grade. At that time, her family moved to Jos, Nigeria, where her parents served as missionary teachers. She loved attending school in Africa. Her small, but diverse school (her graduating class had only 29 students, but 11 nationalities represented), along with the surrounding international community helped develop in her a deep respect and love for people of many backgrounds and cultures. After attending college in IL, she returned to Michigan and began teaching in Wayne-Westland, where she has been teaching for her entire career. She loves reading, singing, spending time with her family, and wearing flip-flops (even when there's snow on the ground)!
